Quick Start Guide
This guide will help you start using FC Safety Shield quickly and efficiently.
Step 1: Access Your Account
Section titled “Step 1: Access Your Account”- Navigate to the FC Safety Shield login page
- Enter your credentials provided by your administrator
- Accept the terms and conditions if this is your first login
- Set up multi-factor authentication (recommended)
Step 2: Download the Mobile App
Section titled “Step 2: Download the Mobile App”The FC Safety Shield mobile app is available for both iOS and Android devices:
- Open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android)
- Search for “FC Safety Shield”
- Download and install the application
- Log in using your account credentials
Step 3: Perform Your First Inspection
Section titled “Step 3: Perform Your First Inspection”Once you’re logged in, you can start inspecting equipment:

Locate an NFC tag on a piece of safety equipment

Tap your device to the NFC tag

Complete the inspection form that appears:
- Check equipment condition
- Note any deficiencies
- Add photos if needed
- Submit the inspection

Review the confirmation showing your inspection was recorded
Inspection Tips
Section titled “Inspection Tips”- Hold your device close to the NFC tag (within 1-2 inches)
- Keep your device steady for 1-2 seconds
- Ensure NFC is enabled in your device settings
- Complete all required fields before submitting
Step 4: View Your Dashboard
Section titled “Step 4: View Your Dashboard”Access the web dashboard to see comprehensive data:
- Log in to the web portal at https://shield.fc-safety.com
- Navigate to the Dashboard section
- Review:
- Recent inspections
- Equipment status
- Upcoming due dates
- Compliance metrics
Step 5: Set Up Notifications
Section titled “Step 5: Set Up Notifications”Configure notifications to stay informed:
- Go to Settings > Notifications
- Enable the notifications you want to receive:
- Inspection reminders
- Overdue equipment alerts
- Deficiency reports
- System updates
- Choose notification delivery method:
- SMS
- In-app notifications
- Push notifications
- Save your preferences

Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”NFC Tag Not Reading
Section titled “NFC Tag Not Reading”If the NFC tag doesn’t respond:
- Check that NFC is enabled on your device
- Remove any phone case that may interfere
- Try holding your device at different angles
- Verify the tag is not damaged
Can’t Log In
Section titled “Can’t Log In”If you’re having trouble logging in:
- Verify your username and password
- Check for CAPS LOCK
- Reset your password if needed
- Contact your administrator
Data Not Syncing
Section titled “Data Not Syncing”If your inspections aren’t appearing in the dashboard:
- Check your internet connection
- Force sync from the app settings
- Log out and log back in
- Contact support if the issue persists
